Our three 24 hour wheelchair maxis work 365 day a year meaning your family & friends who do require wheelchair assistance can join you at any family event or social function. We do recommend that you book in advance to ensure availability, especially around the Christmas holiday season.
Also, for our customers who do not require a wheelchair, but suffer from limited mobility, we have a mini van equipt with a hydraulically operated total mobilty seat. You can see this seat in operation under the gallery tab.

Timaru Local Area - Local history and scenic beauty
$70.00 ( Approx 1.5 Hours ) Tour departs Timaruís historic landing service building heading south to our lovely Botanical Gardens, From here we next stop at Patiti Point and a great look up the coast and some of our Historic Commercial buildings. We now drive through what was known as Government Town, A lot of older cottages which have been restored are in this area. We pass the beautifully restored Catholic Church on Craigie Avenue , Timaru Girls High School then cross to what was known as Rhodes Town.
Itís then past the home of South Canterbury Rugby ďAlpine Energy StadiumĒ. We now drive through Centennial Park. A beautiful area on the border of town and country. This area was quarried for the rock which now forms our harbor. After leaving Centennial Park we head into modern Timaru at the western end of Timaru. This area has developed over the last 40 years. From this elevated area we get great views over Timaru. Along our way we also pass Aorangi Park (Timaruís purpose built multi sports area) and Highfield Golf Club. Next stop is the Historic Blacketts Lighthouse. We now travel to the Rivera of the south ďCaroline BayĒ. The beautiful sandy beach is a favorite spot in the summer for swimming and the vast revitalized area is a popular spot for families to come and enjoy. From here we travel back to the Heart of Timaru with a drive through the main shopping area and the Historic buildings to our original departure point.
OPTIONAL ADD ON (1) Claremont, Hadlow country. $72.00 (App 40minutes)
On exiting Centennial Park we turn left and head into the country. Along this route we get wonderful views over the local area as well as the Southern Alps. We pass Whale Bone Corner with 2 Whale Bones displayed here. We Travel along Claremont road, Cliffs Road, Rosebrook Road, Hadlow Road and Gleniti Road joining back on to the original tour app 500m from where we left.
OPTIONAL ADD ON (2) Phar Lap Statue and Birthplace. $33.00 (App 30 minutes)
Leave and rejoin original tour at the bottom of Marchwiel Street and Head out to Phar Lap Raceway And the Statue of Phar Lap in full stride with jockey. An amazing sight. We then head to the second Statue of Phar Lap at his Birth Place before heading back to original tour.
MacKenzie Country Tour - Timaru to Lake Tekapo
$360.00 (Approx 3.5Hours) Depart Timaruís Landing service building and head to the Wonderful Mackenzie Country. We pass through Pleasant Point, Cave, Albury, Fairly, Kimble and Burkes Pass on the way to Tekapo. On the way you will get to drive past the Historic Pleasant Point Railway. There will be ample time to stop for photos on the way and 1 Hour to explore Tekapo or have something to eat before returning back to Timaru.
The Scenery in this part of the country is amazing.
OPTIONAL ADD ON (1) Mt Cook - $340.00 (Approx 3 to 3.5 hours depending on your time.)
From Lake Tekapo We travel further into the Mackenzie Country and right up to the Southern Alps past magnificent Lakes. This is an amazing area to take in with itís stunning scenery. Depending on your time we have up to 1 Hour for you to explore Mt Cook Village.
OPTIONAL ADD ON (2) Mt John Observatory - $55.00 (Approx 1.5Hours)
Travel up to Mt John Observatory and enjoy the panoramic views of the Mackenzie area. There is a coffee shop on site. There will be time to take in the scenery and enjoy a coffee before heading back to Tekapo.
Pleasant Point & Geraldine Tour - Timaru to Pleasnt Point and Geraline
$360.00 (Approx 2.5 to 3Hours) Departing Timaruís Landing Service Building you will enjoy a tour of some of South Canterburyís smaller towns. First we travel to Pleasant Point and a look at the Railway Museum (no entry) and restored steam locomotives. This is only open on special days. Next itís on to Waitohi and a look at the Richard Pearse memorial and replica of his aircraft. It is believed that his first flight was on 31st March 1903 some nine months before the Wright brothersí. From here we travel to Kakahu and a look at one of the Historic Lime Kiln dating back to 1880. On our way to Geraldine from here we travel through picturesque farm land. At Geraldine there will be time (App 1Hour) to enjoy the craft & food specialists shops. We travel to Winchester & Temuka on our way back to Timaru enjoying the scenery on the way. This is an Ideal trip for you to see our local scenery and small towns if you only have a morning or afternoon to fill in.
